Hi, We want to use Grouper Groups as mail-enabled distribution groups in Exchange and I’m wondering if someone here already did something similar ? I so, could you share your experience ? We are using Active Directory and are currently migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. Our current approach would be to have an attribute (e.g. “distributionGroup”) that would be used to tag groups we want to be mail-enabled. My biggest concern would be “how do I properly get them to AD/Exchange”. We are currently exploring 2 solutions : 1- Manually set the proper information in the AD attributes using the PSP. This has the drawback that some attributes shouldn’t change when the group changes and could result in some problems. 2- Develop a Java application that would read the groups with the attribute assigned and mail-enable the group using the Exchange Power Shell commands. This might be problematic since it’s a java application that runs on Linux. We are currently exploring option #2 with the Windows Remote Manager, but I wanted to check if anyone did something similar.
