Hi, I have another problem with accentuated characters : there is an LDAP error when I try to only change the accent to non-accent letter in AD. Here’s our case : Grouper Description : Inscrits au trimestre H13 du departement 0364, Sciences biologiques AD Description : Inscrits au trimestre H13 du département 0364, Sciences biologiques The AD description was defined previously with the accentuated character. I tried to remove some because of the incompatibilities with Grouper, but now I get an error with the sync. The modify request is good : Modifications '[ Add attribute: description: Inscrits au trimestre H13 du departement 0364, Sciences biologiques plus, Remove attribute: description: Inscrits au trimestre H13 du département 0364, Sciences biologiques]' Bu then I get this LDAP error : 2013-01-10 11:07:31,677: [main] ERROR Psp.execute(1440) - - Psp 'psp' - Sync SyncResponse[id=acad:0364:A12_0364-ETU,status=failure,error=customError,errorMessages={[LDAP: error code 20 - 00002083: AtrErr: DSID-031513D7, #1: 0: 00002083: DSID-031513D7, problem 1006 (ATT_OR_VALUE_EXISTS), data 0, Att d (description):len 134 _]},requestID=2013/01/10-11:07:29.985,ModifyResponse[pso=<null>,status=failure,error=customError,errorMessages={[LDAP: error code 20 - 00002083: AtrErr: DSID-031513D7, #1: 0: 00002083: DSID-031513D7, problem 1006 (ATT_OR_VALUE_EXISTS), data 0, Att d (description):len 134 _]},requestID=2013/01/10-11:07:31.669]] The problem is that for AD the 'e' and 'é' is the same letter, so it’s refusing the change since it’s the “same” value (this is usually super useful when searching for “Sebastien” or “Sébastien”). If I add more changes to the description the sync is good and then I can sync back to the original (without accent letter) required value. Do you think there’s something doable in Grouper for this problem ? Maybe it’s a vt-ldap problem ? Is there a way to force AD to accept the change ?
