Thanks

Since we'll be using Postgres 9.1 and OpenJDK 7, I guess I should stick with jdbc4:

In grouper/lib/jdbcSamples there is a postgresql.jar driver that works with the Grouper unit tests etc…  J

Maybe someone else who uses postgres in prod has better advice…  (if I were to pick between your two choices I would pick jdbc3)

Thanks,

hi gusy

I'd like to use PostgreSQL for Grouper. The Ubuntu 12.04 VM has been set-up.

I installed the 'libpg-java' package, which has several versions of the pg driver:

postgresql-jdbc3-9.1.jar

postgresql-jdbc4-9.1.jar

Which one do I use?

Since we are largely a PHP shop, I have relatively little experience with Java/Tomcat stuff... so expect some n00b questions in the next weeks...

Hope that's not a problem.

thanks!!
