It's probably better to work out the needed additions to your java
security policy, like Chris already suggested. Completely disabling
java security was only meant as a quick fix, to get you going.

(Unless you're using the native/gcj Tomcat package from Debian, in
which case some part of the docs actually mention that you'll need to
disable the java security manager, IIRC. Please see the docs somewhere
in /usr/share/doc/tomcat5.5* )
