Q2.1. First and Last Name: Chris Hyzer Q2.2. Title: Application Architect Q2.5. Name of Product or Service: Grouper
Q2.6. Please provide a description of your product or service: Grouper is an enterprise access management system designed for the highly distributed management environment and heterogeneous
information technology environment common to Universities. Q3.1. Do you have a completed Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)? No Q3.6. Is your product or service compliant with
WCAG 2.0 AA? The new UI satisfies a lot of the standard Q3.7. Do you have a completed WCAG 2.0 Checklist? No Q4.1. Is your product keyboard accessible (e.g., Can users preform all functions without a mouse?) The new UI should be able to be used by keyboard only Q4.2. Is your product screen reader accessible? The new UI should be able to be used by a screen reader, though it has never been tested to my knowledge, so it need some work Q4.3. Are all pages consistently structured with headings? You mean H1 tags? Yes Q4.4. Are all pages consistently readable without requiring an associated style sheet? I tried this and got things to work. Probably is not 100% Q4.7. Do all images consistently have appropriate text descriptions (i.e., ALT Text)? Yes, they should Q4.8. Are minimum color contrast ratios met consistently across the entire site? Should be Q4.9. If there are any electronic forms, does each input field consistently have appropriate labels? Should have for new UI Q4.10. Is there a visible indication of keyboard focus consistently across the site? Yes Q5.1. Has the service or software interface been tested using assistive technologies? Not to my knowledge Q6.1. Do you have any existing documentation beyond the VPAT that should be considered (e.g., End User Documentation)?
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/groupertrain/Grouper+Training Q7.1. Do you have an Accessibility Roadmap? No All the DHTML controls are dojo which should have good accessibility. The new UI was designed with accessibility in mind with a responsive design, bootstrap, divs, etc. Thanks, Chris
Thanks again,

I will be happy to respond to a simple survey if you want to send only the questions without the legal stuff. Thanks, Chris From:

on behalf of Pregash J Devasagayam <> Hi. Sometime ago (last year I think) we mentioned to the grouper developer team the new accessibility standards and requirements being implemented to the University
of Colorado Boulder. We are finally at a point here at the university to undergo the required accessibility audit of the Grouper product. We would be very grateful if someone from the developer team could fill out the attached survey and return it to us.
After the assessment has been completed, we can forward the report, which hopefully could benefit the UI design efforts going forward for the product. I’m not sure if any other university went through a similar audit, but I think this will be beneficial for
any major institution in this country. Thanks for everything you do! Pregash Devasagayam Identity and Access Management University of Colorado Boulder |
