If the SP is Shibboleth, which seems likely here, you might try going to /Shibboleth.sso/Session.  It should display which attributes were accepted and how many values each, though not the values themselves unless so configured.

I tried doing a SAML tracer+firefox session to see if ePPN was sent by ProtectNetwork but the assertion was encrypted so I couldn't see if it was released or not.
(I always presume that it's about attribute release when I encounter problems on sign on :) )
