Now that you are registered you can click on the 2.2 UI here:

https://grouperdemo.internet2.edu/

Which is this link:

https://grouperdemo.internet2.edu/grouper_v2_2/

I created you a folder where you can create objects if you like.

An FYI for other people, you need an IdP that sends an EPPN.  ProtectNetwork will not do that for our demo site.  Safe bets are the social options (google, fb, twitter).  You register first.  Then you go back to the demo jump page and click on the UI.  I get an email when people register, and I add them a folder with STEM privileges so they can create objects.

Thanks,

Chris

Subject: [grouper-dev] where do i find an issue tracker? (reporting an issue with the demo login experience)

Hi,

First, congrats on the v2.2 update!

I was trying to sign on to the demo and had a problem signing in and wondered where I would report that?

Is there an issue tracker somewhere? If so, it's hard to find :(.

I figure that if I'm like anyone else they would try that too to see what's in the demo site.

My initial attempts resulted in failing to sign in and looked like this:

The experience was that I chose protectNetwork (without doing the 'self register step') to sign in and it resulted in a blank page.

I then backed out and tried to use twitter to sign in, and it didn't work as expected and then did the 'self register' and it too had a problem, but then said 'success' but redirected me back to the sign up page and I had the 'logged in' statement in the nav bar in the application.

I did eventually log in with my twitter account, but the first impressions that people get from the demo may not reflect the great work under done under the hood.

Recommendations on where I would take this if not this list?

I think that some may judge grouper & the demo on their first experiences and hope the online demo could be better guided for sign on and maybe expectation settings.

This was done from a mac, using chrome in incognito mode.

Thanks and hope this info helps.

Chris.
