Thanks for opening the jira.  It is not critical for us right now.  We will only have a handful of groups that we will be assigned attributes.  I can just iterate through the results to find the group that I need.

            I have  a question about the getAttributeAssignments.  I assigned a attribute, principal,  to a group; the attribute has a string value of lynn.   Is there a way to pass the string value lynn to the the getAttributeAssignments web service to return only the groups that have been assigned the principal attribute with a value of lynn?
