I think some array of group management operations should also be supported in an early release of a grouper web service. During the hooks discussion we listed high-level pre- and post-processing hook capabilities we'd eventually want to support:

Of these, we can probably exclude metadata management. And for an initial release of grouper web service, maybe omit stem operations (to be supported later on). But most of the group operations (and possibly a couple of variations) seem important to "group management lite". Maybe exclude add/delete group types" from that list for an early grouper web service.
