of Match 1.0.0.

Deployments running versions of the code from commit 1ec6b4d65f or later 
(August 2, 2021) can update using the provisional upgrading instructions

Deployments running versions prior to that commit should review the note 
sent to this list on August 2 for further information.

Please report any issues via JIRA or Slack. Depending on what we hear 
back, we'll release RC3 or 1.0.0 final towards the end of January.

(For a variety of reasons, the code tagged as the first Release 
Candidate was never publicly announced.)
