Hi Guido! I hope all is well with you.

As for your question, Oy!

This problem is not really a COmanage issue... but how does one
get CalDAV and other http based protocols relying ONLY on BASIC
authN to expand their horizons to supporting other models for
authN/Z. So, the issue here is not COmanage but CalDAV, or
DAV in general, to support something other than HTTP/BASIC
authN. Until that happens, I fear there is little likelihood
of COmanage (shib) supporting such apps as bedework.

While CalDAV would be nice, at least bedework gets us one
step closer to the notion of federated calendar by using
it within COmanage. It gives us all, hopefully, a glimpse
of what could be.

Of course, this is my perception of the world today and
if the folks at Stanford, who now own the future of COmanage,
have figured things out - I too would love to see the
future revealed!

I hope this answers your question.

Hi,

I started to evaluate Bedework and I like the fact that it is possible
to use it together with our Shibboleth installation as authentication
service.

But I am afraid, that using Bedework together with Shibboleth makes it
impossible to use CalDAV for synchronization.

Unfortunately I did not find any information or discussion about that
topic. Did somebody consider the availability of CalDAV within CoManage?

I will be grateful for a short note.

Kind regards,
