Here's my concern with the comanage environment presented thus far...

can someone point me toward the current "install for a test drive" instructions?

I need to
integrate and configure the shib SP environment just to be able
to see and play with comanage - seems to be a high-ish barrier
to entry. May I suggest we either provide a network version of
COmanage (as I had done with comanage.internet2.edu) OR you
preconfigure the VM to use localhost only for shib SP and credentials
thus allowing me to immediately experience comanage and then
maybe provide a config option allowing me to easily integrate
into my own shib environment. Does this make sense?

Shib is heading toward the VM route -- at the May Shib installfest, we told people to bring VMWare Player, and we gave them an image. This worked very well. I believe we're headed toward making an image available on our website; we'll tell people "download this, and take it for a test drive".

I believe this is Michael's second suggestion above? I'd second this approach....
