Thank you to all who attended Tuesday’s NET+ GCP Town Hall. I have some follow-up notes and links below as well as all sorts of other goodies.

 

  1. TODAY at 10am PDT/1pm EDT we have our monthly NET+ GCP Tech Share. Please join us at https://internet2.zoom.us/j/82174251582. A reminder to the channel partners, you may send a maximum of two people to this meeting.
  2. On Tuesday we held the NET+ GCP Town Hall - Google NEXT Recap. Chris Daugherty expertly leveraged Google’s AI tools to put together a presentation synthesizing the slides, announcements, and blog posts coming out of NEXT since he was on vacation at the time! We had the added bonus of hearing about the GCP GPU/TPU Acceleration Adoption Program (GCAP) from Adam Deer. If your institution is considering this program, we have been assured by Google that you can do this through your existing NET+ GCP contract with your reseller. If there is any confusion or mixed signals around that, please reach out to me.
  3. Next month’s quarterly call will be at “barn-raising.” This is a session where attendees will build out their own instance of the Campus Engagement Coach app developed by the Google Rapid Innovation Team in collaboration with Washington University in St. Louis. There are prerequisites, notably your institutions needs to have an NDA. Contact Chris Daugherty and he’ll help you take care of it. The full list of prereqs as well as registration for the session can be found here.
  4. On June 10 the CLASS program will host a Google Cloud Administrator Training. Members of this community helped write this course, outlining what is most important for running a GCP Org at an R&E institution. This is a great opportunity to help more of your team understand the enterprise operation and control of your Google Org. The course is $50 for NET+ GCP subscribers and free for CICP subscribers.
