Hello BaseCAMPers:

 

Just a reminder that BaseCAMP is approaching quickly; join us NEXT Monday, June 3, at Noon ET. Join early before sessions for a chance to mingle with your fellow campers and have some fun (see Trailhead Fuel Up details)! You’ll find some useful information below to ensure you have all of the access and resources you will need.

Join Us in Slack

All presenters and participants have been added to a Slack channel. This will be a primary way in which we’ll communicate with each other in the days leading up to BaseCAMP and throughout the conference. Please be sure you’re tuned in to the BaseCAMP Slack channel (you should have received an invite).

 

Feel free to chat with one another before, during, and after the conference! This is a great way to ask questions, get answers, and collaborate. Introduce yourself to get things rolling! If you have questions or issues, email .

 

Canvas Access

BaseCAMP will utilize Canvas for all of its session content delivery. This will be your daily, one-stop shop to see session descriptions and links to get you into the corresponding Zoom rooms. Starting today you should be able to access Canvas. Please verify that you can get in and can see the content so that you’ll be ready to go starting next Monday .  

 

To do so, follow these quick steps: 

• Verify your access by navigating to BaseCAMP 2024 in Canvas on May 28th. If you see the content, you’re all set!
• If you can’t see the BaseCAMP content, please verify that you completed the authentication step.  Check your inbox for an email from that will point you to a link to complete this step. 
• Still having a problem? Don’t fret! Please contact us at and we’ll help you to get squared away.

 

All you need to do this week is to verify that you can get into Canvas. No other action is necessary until we start next Monday, June 3.

Zoom

You’ll find all of the session Zoom links in the Daily Schedule in Canvas. All sessions will be live. We’ll record each session and post the recordings and slides decks (when applicable) to Canvas. You will have access to these materials through the end of the year. 

 

We encourage you to turn on your cameras when you are able to -- this is very helpful as we all get to know one another.

 

Preparing for BaseCAMP

BaseCAMP takes place daily, Monday-Friday, June 3-7 for 5 hours each day: 

• Reveille at 11:30 am ET each day (10:30 am CT | 9:30 am MT | 8:30 am PT). 
• Trailblaze at 12:00 pm ET each day (11 am CT | 10 am MT | 9 am PT). 
• Retreat at 4:40 pm ET each day (3:40 pm CT | 2:40 pm MT | 1:40 pm PT).  

 

BaseCAMP will come to a close at 4:30 pm ET Friday, June 7.

Prior to the meeting, review the BaseCAMP schedule and topics. To get the most out of your BaseCAMP experience, we suggest reflecting on the topics and coming prepared to ask questions! 

 

Dress

BaseCAMP is a workshop; dress is casual. Hawaiian shirts optional. Shorts and slippers are OK (because, really, who will know?).

 

Trailhead Fuel Up and Scavenger Hunt!

Beginning at 11:30 am every day grab a cup of coffee and hangout and get to know your fellow CAMPers before sessions kick off at 12pm. Thanks to our sponsors - Omnibond and Provision IAM - attendees who join this mingle session will be entered into a daily drawing to win a $20 DoorDash gift card! Plus, each day you’ll have the opportunity to show off your gathering skills in our Scavenger Hunt! At 11:30 am, we'll post a list of 5 camp-related, easy-to-find items. The Trivia Traverse

Get ready to push your knowledge to the limit in the Trivia Traverse! This year we will be hosting a live trivia game during one break  Tuesday-Thursday. We’ll ask a mix of IAM and general knowledge questions. Everyone who plays the game that day will be entered into a raffle for a gift card. Five players will win a gift card each day.  You can use your mobile device or computer to access the game when the time comes.

 

Lingo

At BaseCAMP, our presenters will do their best to unravel the mysteries of IAM lingo and acronyms. But if you hear a term that leaves you scratching your head, don't fret - Slack it! Simply enter #BCLingo into Slack followed by the word or term you're unsure about. We'll provide you with an answer. And hey, if you spot a term you're familiar with, jump in and contribute to the answers! Together, we'll compile a handy resource for everyone.

 

CAMP Fires

Each day will end with CAMP Fires from 3:40-4:40pm ET - themed spaces where you can connect with other CAMPers to discuss questions, share stories, exchange IAM challenges, or just socialize! Check the bottom of each day’s Canvas page to see the descriptions.
