BaseCAMP 2023 Starts Tomorrow!

 

Hello BaseCAMPers:

 

Just a final reminder that BaseCAMP starts tomorrow, Monday, July 10 at Noon ET. 

Scavenger Hunt!

To kick things off, we’re going to have a bit of fun. Check the BaseCAMP 2023 Slack channel at 11:30 am ET on Monday morning for our first SCAVENGER HUNT! There will be 5 camping-related items that you can hopefully find around your home. The first to post a selfie(s) in the Slack channel with all 5 items will win a prize!

 

Okay, now onto the more important parts…starting tomorrow.

 

Accessing BaseCAMP: Conference Tools

Your access to BaseCAMP is through Canvas. You should have completed a registration process to gain access to Canvas, so please verify your access ASAP. 

 

In Canvas, click on the heading for each day on the BaseCAMP course home page. These lead to the daily itineraries, corresponding links to the Zoom room for each session, and session descriptions and materials that will be posted later. Note that we’ve scheduled plenty of breaks throughout BaseCAMP to give you time to stretch and get ready for the next session. 

 

 

Need help?

1. If you cannot get into Canvas please email   and someone will get back to you quickly. Please include BaseCAMP in the subject line.
2. If you are in Canvas and have issues with logistics or accessing any content within Canvas, please ping the Slack channel and we’ll be happy to help.
3. If you are in a BaseCAMP Zoom room, please feel free to ask questions related to that session within the Zoom chat.

 

Stay Tuned into the Slack Channel

The BaseCAMP Slack channel is an important way to stay connected throughout the week. It’s a place where you’ll get any updates about the program, chat with others, or ask questions about logistics…plus all of the fun stuff. Stay tuned there.

 

BaseCAMP Survival Guide

Within the BaseCAMP course in Canvas, there is a link to the BaseCAMP Survival Guide to help you find your way around. It includes a high-level overview of some common concepts, terms, and acronyms you may come across.

 

What are CAMP Fires?

After a day of learning, join in one of BaseCAMP’s virtual CAMP Fires, Monday-Thursday from 3:35-4:30pm ET, connect with other CAMPers, and immerse yourself in a world of connection, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving… or sit back, unwind, and socialize. CAMP Fires are unfacilitated and a great way to connect with your peers for knowledge sharing and camaraderie in a more casual way. We’ll have 6 themed fires and a few open fire pits too. See descriptions of CAMP Fires at the bottom of each day in Canvas.

 

Session Recordings

All sessions will be recorded and available in Canvas within two weeks after BaseCAMP ends. You’ll have access to these recordings and Canvas through the end of the year.
