Hello BaseCAMPers:

 

Just a reminder that BaseCAMP is approaching quickly; join us NEXT Monday, July 10, at Noon ET to kick off the conference.  You’ll find some useful information below to ensure you have all of the access and resources you will need.

Join Us in Slack

All presenters and participants have been added to a Slack channel. This will be a primary way in which we’ll communicate with each other in the days leading up to BaseCAMP and throughout the conference. Please be sure you’re tuned in to the BaseCAMP Slack channel (you should have received an invite).

 

Feel free to chat with one another before, during, and after the conference! This is a great way to ask questions, get answers, and collaborate. Introduce yourself to get things rolling! If you have questions or issues, email .

 

Canvas Access

BaseCAMP will utilize Canvas for all of its session content delivery. This will be your daily, one-stop shop to see session descriptions and links to get you into the corresponding Zoom rooms. Starting today you should be able to access Canvas. Please verify that you can get in and can see the content so that you’ll be ready to go starting next Monday .  

 

To do so, follow these quick steps: 

• Verify your enrollment by navigating to BaseCAMP 2023 in Canvas on July 5. If you see the content, you’re all set!
• If you can’t see the BaseCAMP content, please check your inbox for an email from that will point you to a link to complete your registration with our IAM system. 
• Still having a problem? Don’t fret! Please contact us at and we’ll help you to get squared away.

 

All you need to do this week is verify that you can get into Canvas. No other action is necessary until we start next Monday, July 10.

Zoom

You’ll find all of the Zoom links you need within Canvas for each session you attend, which can be found within each day’s schedule. All sessions will be live (we’ll record them), slide decks (when applicable) will be posted, and you will have access to the recordings for the next 12 months.

 

We encourage you to turn on your cameras when you are able to -- this is very helpful as we all get to know one another.

 

Preparing for BaseCAMP

BaseCAMP takes place daily, Monday-Friday, July 10-14 for 4.5 hours each day: 

• Reveille at 12:00 pm ET each day (11 am CT | 10 am MT | 9 am PT). 
• Retreat at 4:30 pm ET each day (3:30 pm CT | 2:30 pm MT | 1:30 pm PT).  

CAMP Fires end each day, followed by social time - we’d love to have you join us and meet your peers. BYOS (Bring Your own S’more)!

 

BaseCAMP will come to a close at 4:30 pm ET Friday, July 14.

Prior to the meeting, review the BaseCAMP schedule and topics. Giving some thought to the topics and coming armed with questions will make your experience that much more valuable.

Dress

BaseCAMP is a workshop; dress is casual. Hawaiian shirts optional. Shorts and slippers are OK (because, really, who will know?).

CAMP Fires

Each day will end with CAMP Fires - themed spaces where you can connect with other CAMPers to discuss questions, share stories, exchange IAM challenges, or just socialize! Check the bottom of each day’s Canvas page to see the descriptions.
