I think there are a few who have misunderstood the call and are submitting proposals that are really not within the brief of what we are about - in some cases I just think they are 'chancing their arm' with multiple submissions. However, we are a small conference and our hosts have to make many of these performances work within their spaces so the chances are that there might be enough (coupled with panels and presentations) to have a full programme.

Will see you all next week

Dear All,

I read all the proposals and I think there are very interesting ideas offered.

If I understand Claudio correct, there should be more examples of interactive performance art via high-speed-networks and low-latency-technologies involved. Well if that's the case, why we donĀ“t start a second round of invitations and express this wish with more detailed including words like. Interactive live performances in real-time; live-networked performances (on- and offline); connecting artists on different locations, best-practice-examples working with LOLA https://lola.conts.it/ or MVTP/UltraGrid http://www.ultragrid.cz/ and others; proposals/presentations of 8 K live-streaming like (https://immersify.eu/news/8k-hevc-live-streaming-from-poznan-to-linz/). I just want to mention, at the Ars Electronica many people understand different things with networked...

If above is the case we should postpone the deadline for proposals until the 10th of November / Deadline program 15th of November- in case it is an option regarding the organizational work.

Kind regards, renate

Todos:

1) in advance of our next meeting, please review and rate the proposals and add your comments.

... from a first (and very curious) scan through the propsals I had the clear feeling that we dod not make the completely correct call... indeed the call looks ok, but maybe has benn misinterpreted by many as an "electronic contemporary art festival", which we definitly are not.
No, we are not Ars Telematica in Linz.We have "network" and "perfoming arts" in the title and I'll try to use them as my rating meter.

2) please fill out this Doodle Poll to determine our next meeting time

just note that NOv 1st is a public ho;iday in many countris ;-)

3) Mary Simoni's RPI program committee and team would like to have the program decided by November 1 so they can begin their planning.
