Thanks for sending this. I too am troubled by the current rush to
regulate VoIP. I'm afraid that the VoIP industry has in some ways
brought this upon itself---by pushing VoIP as a toll-bypass and
access-fee-bypass POTS clone, rather than a completely different
communication technology. We all know that VoIP can be very much
better and very much different from POTS; unfortunately the regulators
and most of the public don't realize this.
