Just thought of this in the shower this morning! Strange how that 
happens 8-)

Another option would be some kind of VPN configuration. The 7960 is not 
VPN aware itself so you would need to either use a Soft phone on your 
laptop/Desktop and use a software VPN client to connect to your 
institute, or your router will need to be VPN aware and connect that way.
