As a part of the newly created Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center
(ITEC) at Texas A&M University we are soliciting your assistance on a
VoIP project. One of the 2004 projects is to evaluate SIP
interoperability between various vendors SIP based instruments and other
vendors SIP based servers. The goal is to document the level of
interoperability. Listed below is a partial list of desired voice
features that we will use in our testing. We would like to come up with
a list of at least 30 commonly utilized features in the final testing.
For features that are covered by an RFC we will test against RFC
compliance. Desired features that are not yet covered under an RFC will
be documented which will hopefully lead towards future work that will
result in a more comprehensive feature set. This request is being
submitted to both the Internet2 VoIP Working Group Listserve and to the
ACUTA Listserve. Please respond to this request with an email message
directly to Josh Reola at

and to Walt Magnussen at
.

We will submit the final list of features once to these lists once they
have been compiled.

Thank you in advance for your assistance on this project. For more
information about the ITEC visit ITEC.TAMU.EDU. This page is under
construction. More details on the three current projects will be
available within the next two weeks.
