Just tried it (nickname ErikDMobile) and it works well. However, I'm not
really looking forward to just another presence client (having already ICQ,
MS Messenger and Jabber for each generation of friends, family and collegues
that start using messaging) so I hope that they will somehow try to hook up
to support these platforms (at least Jabber).
In the past I used MS MEssenger for presence and forced it to use my VOCAL
SIP server to dial the people in my list.
