I'm pleased to announce that MIT has completed a 12,000 user SIP deployment...
well, sorta :-) ...

But what this really means is that you can now call individuals at MIT using
their published mit.edu e'mail address at 
sip:[name]@mit.edu
 -
eg. 
sip:.
  If they have a SIP phone the call will complete to it;
if not the call will complete to their PBX phone.

You can also call any five digit MIT extension at 
sip:[extension]@mit.edu
 - 
eg. 
sip:.

We are probably going to keep our PSTN connections for while so you can still 
call people at MIT the _old_ way, if you insist!
