I've been thinking about a related issue. We have a SIP gateway that
seems it will be difficult to control who uses it. Unless we restrict
the SIP gateway to only allow our SIP gateway(s) to mitigate calls
through it, preventing unauthorized calls is not going to be easy when
all there is are basic packet filters to work with on the gateway.
I'm guessing for all off-net calls, the SIP server has to be inline in
order to provide proper auditing, accounting and authorization.
What are others doing or thinking about in this area?
