January meeting and March VOIP workshop

Working group,

  As many of you may know I2 is having a Joint Techs Workshop in Tempe,AZ in 
January (27-31).  Paul Love has asked if any of the WGs would like to hold a 
meeting at the workshop.  I will be there so I would be happy to hold one if 
there is enough interest.  The normal WG meeting time is Tuesday from 8:00 pm 
until we get tired.  Please let me know  of your desires (to either my email 
or reply to the list).

   On another topic we are trying to put together a VOIP workshop for March 
at TAMU.  It would either be a two or three day workshop and would be hands 
on similar to the IPV6 workshop.  Please let me know if you are interested in 
attending and if you have any ideas that would contribute to the success of 
the workshop.  

   As for a quick update on the testbed, I am sorry to report little positive 
progress.  We have recently recruited additional help from the AVID labs at 
Cisco and have added additional people at TAMU to the project.  We have at 
least 20 sites that have expressed interest and we are focusing on the Cisco 
to Cisco sites to get the ball rolling.  I am hoping to be able to report 
some positive progress by the end of next week.  

   If you have not looked at the VOIP group list (see the I2 web page) lately 
we have a large number of interested parties.  Any ideas that anyone  may 
have on where to go from here are greatly appreciated.
