Everyone,
Please join us for our conference call today. (1st and 3rd Thursdays)

Presence and Integrated Communications
Recently, we've talked about future goals for the group. First, we'd like to
re-energize and re-engage the group. What about PIC interests you/your
institution? Are you excited about emerging or developing PIC topics or
technologies? What pieces are missing to meet PIC-related objectives? How
can our PIC group help bridge that gap - industry collaboration, protocol
changes, software/service development, etc? In the near term, is there a
practical/functional/operational need that we can help with?

I encourage everyone to mull over these questions and join our discussions
(on our calls, via listserv) on how our group can provide continued value.
This isn't a question for today only - let's keep a rolling discussion.

Wave for Apps
Today, I noticed that Wave is available for Google Apps domains. (Probably
because I recently added the "make my domain work more like the Google
domain" option.) I added it to a personal domain, but I'm not sure what I'll
do with it yet...

Shib for non-web apps
Earlier this week, a Microsoft rep mentioned that they have been working with
the Shib folks and the University of Washington(?) to develop a Shib 2.1
plug-in for certain MS non-web apps, such as Outlook. It sounds like it is
working, and they claimed to have a couple pilot customers. They didn't
mention if it was proprietary or if it works with non-MS apps. I'm following
up with MS and hope to know more by our next call. Does anyone else have
info?

Other topics are always welcome.
Chat with you soon!
-Tim
