Different sense of the phrase "regular meeting place."
I meant like an any time chat room.

Joining the call any minute now...

Hi,

I have a comment on the minutes.

I hope that this doesn't mean we have to give up the eDial SIP
access for our weekly calls! I'd like to wait until there's proven
interoperability before we make the Wildfire server a regular
meeting place. Anyone else?

*Discussion*

Rodger noted that planning for the Member Meeting session is going
well; so far there are confirmed speakers from Michigan, Penn, UNC,
and Texas A&M.

The group discussed XMPP next steps. Deke suggested we first make
Ben T.'s Wildfire server a regular meeting place, then set up
Jingle, then pursue cross-client interoperability; there was
general agreement. A list of available clients is at
http://www.jabber.org/software/clients.shtml. There is also
interest in looking at cross-server interop; [ACTION] Deke will get
a jabberd 2.x server set up at Penn.

A new version of the XMPP/SIMPLE interoperability I-D by Peter St.
Andre et al. is at
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-saintandre-xmpp-simple-07
.txt.

The PIC WG now has a wiki; the group discussed how to make use of
it. [ACTION] All will review Candace's wiki proposal
(https://mail.internet2.edu/wws/arc/wg-pic/2006-03/msg00025.html)
and Reply All with any comments. [ACTION] Rodger will get Ben T. to
update the PIC home page and add a link to the wiki.
