I was just listening to a Blue Box VoIP Security Podcast
<http://www.blueboxpodcast.com/2006/02/blue_box_etel20_2.html>
in which their CEO was interviewed.  He described the iotum
presence server's use of calendar, IM, and other presence
to create a sort of coalesced presence that could be used
by soft PBXs (mentioned SER and Asterisk by name) to
direct calls.
