Greetings. I will be chairing a Panel Discussion at the Internet2
Spring Member Meeting (April 24 - 26, 2006) with the following abstract:

Abstract

This session will discuss the experiences of member institutions while
making changes to enterprise and departmental communications systems.
The targeted audience is both Telecommunications/IT Infrastructure
managers, and campus decision makers charged with providing
communications services. In this context, "changes" may be, but not
limited to, consolidations, expansions, migrations to new platforms,
decommissioning legacy systems, changing service providers, and
outsourcing experiences. This session will emphasize the experience,
including business drivers, technology drivers, compliance/security
drivers, and organizational/cultural challenges/opportunities. The
format will be a series of 4-5 short presentations interleaved with
moderated discussion and audience questions. The targeted goal is to
discuss experiences and not specific technology solutions, as technology
solutions depend on a myriad of situation specific variables.

I would like to solicit presenters and audience participants for this
talk. I would especially like to make this session relevant to the
international community, and would welcome suggestions to accomplish
this. Thanks in advance!
