Title: Agenda: PIC Working Group Meeting
Greetings. The PIC Group will be meeting on Tuesday evening, September 20, at 7:00 PM at the Wyndham Philadelpehia in Salon 3 and 4. We will also be using a conference bridge for remote attendees. See below for dial in numbers.
Agenda
1. Review the current charter:

Some Questions:
- Is the charter in need of revisions?
- If So, Which Sections?
- Should only RFC 3261 based solutions be in scope?
- What role should mobile devices play?
- What role should gateways (media, presence) play in our strategy?
- What should the emphasis on rich presence be?
- What role should commercially available systems play in Workgroup activities?
- Emphasize federation of systems?
- Should the workgroup offer a Commons like core infrastructure to members?
- Ideas to grow membership - attract and retain member schools
- New presence and integrated communications product evaluation
- Gauge group interest in topics: location based services, calendaring,
group instant messaging, authentication and security, privacy,
presence-spamming prevention, further development of PA module, PA
module and IP Multimedia Subsystem.
Some Logistical Questions:
- Should we modify Meeting Time, Length and Frequency?
- Agenda Format: Should we reserve a spot on every agenda for a topical discussion such as P2P, Mergers, Related News Items etc.
- Guest Speakers?
