*Discussion*
Candace has received several PIC-SER proposals and is expecting more by
the May 31 deadline. She has assembled a committee to consider the proposals;
a meeting will be scheduled shortly after the 31st.
Some new UAs have come to the group's attention:
- The pua.pl "command-line presence user agent" is available at
http://pua-pl.berlios.de/; Candace has set up a PALS account for them. pua.pl
is
available under the GPL.
- Nero is now in the VoIP business; see http://www.sippstar.com/. [ACTION]
Steve will ask a SIPPS-using coworker about this product. [ACTION] Rodger will
ask Jiri for comment on SIPPS.
- [ACTION] Candace will look into Tyler Johnson's client, built on Java Media
Framework. (Low priority for the moment.)
Candace expects more new SIP clients to be released in the next few months,
and
asks all to be on the lookout.
