You may want to try disabling presence, disable the account, and then 
re-enable the account.  If you want, you can register first, then enable 
presence after you register.  There's definitely a bug with trying to 
register while presence agent is active, but I never saw it crash like you 
have, it just never registered.  We've pung xten to try to figure out 
whether this is an eyeBeam or pals bug.
