*Discussion*
The group briefly reviewed its successful Spring Member Meeting session.
Presentations are at
http://events.internet2.edu/2005/spring-mm/sessionDetails.cfm?session=1933&event=229.
Replies to the CFP are starting to come in; Candace is recruiting a committee
to
consider them. The PIC-SER web page has been updated to address various
concerns
that have been raised; see http://pic.internet2.edu/pic-ser/. The May 19 PIC
conference call will be devoted to answering questions from prospective
PIC-SER
participants. A PIC-SER Wiki has been started at
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-SER+module+pa.
It was agreed that the initial PIC-SER package will include presence agent
support, and that eyeBeam will be the only client. Jamey is working on making
plugging and unplugging the presence agent as straightforward as possible.
[ACTION] Candace will email Xten and Wave3 about how they can be involved in
creating the PIC-SER package.
The group discussed ideas for demos at the next Internet2 Member Meeting,
which
will take place September in Philadelphia. Penn will be providing network
support; Deke noted that firming up demo plans well in advance would be
helpful
here.
A demo at the July Joint Techs in Vancouver is also a possibility; it was
noted
that Vancouver is home to Xten. [ACTION] Ben T. will talk to the JT program
committee about a PIC demo.
