Hi,

Read through the suggested schedule and suggested tests to find 
instructions on how to configure some of the testable options.  The 
schedule is very flexible depending on the outcome of our test.  Feel free 
to begin the first steps prior to the beginning of our test.

Schedule

3:00-3:10 Verify configurations, test registration with pals.internet2.edu 
and any other accounts (fwd, etc)

1 Verify version - right click on client and choose About

2 Setup new group Internet2 - click Calls & Contacts and choose Add a New 
Group
3 Add Contacts to setup contact list manually - right click Internet2 and 
choose 3 Add a new Contact (use details below as a start)

3:10-3:20 Test call quality with different setting adjustments

1 VAD - choose Settings, Media, Audio, Devices, Enable VAD
2 Interop between networks
3 Usability and call quality with different headsets
4 Codec - choose Settings, Media, Audio, Advanced, Codecs
  iLBC, Speex, GSM, plus the usuals

3:20-3:40 Test presence settings
1 Verify presence settings - Settings, choose your account, choose Presence
2 If pals doesn't work, document the errors you get
3 Try peer-to-peer presence - Settings, Presence, presence mode = peer-to-peer
4 Change presence - available to offline
5 Add a new status message - click on your status, choose New Status 
Message and  enter something new, like your current location
5 Try to change presence to your new status message, does it publish?

3:40-3:50 Test IM
1 Send IM - right click on contact and choose Send an IM
2 Interop between networks

3:50-4:00 Test Video
Thus far every test I've made cripples my client and computer - but I don't 
have a camera.

Future tests:

Interop between clients
XTunnels (need an XTunnels server)
Presence - XCAP authorization, subscription to contact list, automatic 
update to Away if inactive for x minutes

Observed bugs:

Video doesn't work (bug is recorded on forum)
After killing the client process, I lost all of my new group and contact info
Import Contacts doesn't work (on forum)
Ben called me once and I added him to my contact list and he appeared as
