*Discussion*
The group continued the discussion of its double session at the Spring
Internet2
Member Meeting (see last week's minutes). Jeremy wants to have someone talk
about any hindrances to PIC that may emerge from the Federal Government; it
was
agreed to plan for a speaker to address this in the first session. For the
second session, it was agreed to start with one or more case studies of
deployments of commercial products (Vocera and Radiance have been suggested so
far), then cover PIC WG experiences, and to wrap up with Candace presenting
the
packaged version of the demo. [ACTION] All will get Jeremy their input on
PIC's
activities at the Spring Member Meeting as soon as possible.
Ben T. has succeeded in getting some people from Xten to join next week's
call.
Candace has tested Eyebeam's IM and presence features, and she's impressed;
she
noted that Xten also has tools for coping with NATs. [ACTION] Candace will
coordinate a test of Eyebeam with PALS from 3:00 to 4:00 EST on February 10
(immediately before the PIC call). [ACTION] Candace will try to get Bruce
involved in the Eyebeam testing.
Dennis noted some difficulties he's had in testing PALS by himself; [ACTION]
Jamey will look into ways of addressing Dennis's concerns about solo testing
on
the PALS server.
