All,

  Jeff Pulver's Voice On the Net conference is next week.  The PIC group
will host a birds-of-a-feather session Tuesday evening 6:15 - 8:00.
Henning has agreed to present on PALS architecture and Joe has agreed to
present on the trials, past and future.  Potentially, this is something of
a rare opportunity to brush up against what the development and venture
capital folks are doing.  VON can be a pretty free-wheeling environment;
this could be interesting.  All of you attending VON are invited.
(Henning is time constrained, so we'll need to get started right on
time.)

  In addition, Jeff has invited us back to the bar for drinks afterward
to talk informally about possibilities.  If you've never met Jeff,
this will be a treat.  I can pretty much guarantee lively conversation.

  We might spend a few minutes on today's call seeing if we have any
specific goals for VON.

  Beyond that I'd like to see if we can work toward consensus on the
major threads from the Austin meeting we plan to pursue over the next
several months.  As I see it they are:

    1)  Trial continuation
    2)  UA development
    3)  Publishing
    4)  Long term trials  (Paths in the snow)
    5)  versioning/packaging ?
