*Discussion*
The group discussed plans for a BoF at the October 18-21 VON
(http://www.pulver.com/von/). Jeremy suggested a focus on introducing people
from Pulver.com to the academics involved in PIC. Dennis suggested doing a
radically scaled-down version of the demo, bringing all the infrastructure
into
one room and using it to make a presentation on how it works. Jeremy noted
that
we're planning to use Pulver's Communicator at the Fall MM.
For audio calls at the Fall MM demo, the webUA subgroup has decided to support
only forking (calling all of a user's devices at once), not follow-me (calling
them sequentially according to user preferences). The subgroup also discussed
cascading profiles and decided to give this low prioirty. Sample code for
preferences management is now on the PALS server.
The kiosk subgroup has decided not to support multiple clients. We still want
to
have multiple UAs for the rest of the demo though. [ACTION] Anyone who has
computers they can donate for the kiosk will contact Joe.
The group agreed to schedule a PIDF demo for the August 19 call. [ACTION]
Jamey
and Xiaotao will get SER and sipc ready for a PIDF demo on August 19.
[ACTION] Joe will try to get the kiosk ready for a demo on the August 26 call.
[ACTION] Joe will talk to Ben T. about using donated funds from Microsoft for
headsets and handsets for the kiosk.
An alpha-ish version of serweb is available for the group to try out; see
http://pals.internet2.edu/webua/serweb/user_interface/ . This interface is
being
considered for use at the Fall MM. [ACTION] Joe will follow up with Ben T. on
integration with speaker notes and surveys at the Fall MM.
