I'm testing on linux.

1) after I start up sipc and fill in the preferences, it opens a new 
window which stays gray.  I terminate it at this point.  I've seen this 
problem previously, actually consistently.  At this point I use ctrl c 
to terminate the process and
2) sipc still has fails if one of the watchers is pending and I try to 
approve it.
 popup box says" error: wrong # args: should be "...

I changed xiaotao's watchers to pending for testing. :)
