All,
I expect we'll focus mostly on the SMM trial on today's call. Joe R.
won't be able to join us today, so I'll likely go down the list of AI's
from last week, unless someone has a better idea.
Testing has been going on through most of the week. We seem to be
getting closer to having it all work together. The SIPc map is nice.
If you haven't tried it, please take it out for a spin. N.B., if you
want to see yourself, you have to add yourself to the SIPc watcher list.
Maybe we can spend a few minutes seeing what needs work still and if
another testing time is useful.
We also need to think about the agenda for the PIC gathering at the SMM.
What's next? Where are we headed? I'd like this discussion to have as
many degrees of freedom as possible. Comments/suggestions are encouraged.
We can either put this on the call agenda or do it by email. Your choice.
I'm going to break out of the PIC agenda discussion the social context
study group. How we'll proceed will be the subject of a bof. I asked,
very late, for a room for us. Don't know yet if we have one. If we
do, Internet2 staff will tell us when/where. If not, we can almost
certainly find a quiet place to talk somewhere at a mutually convenient
time. I'm not sure that an agenda for the bof is a good idea, but if
anyone who intends to be active in the SG wants one, please suggest one.
Finally, I had this request from Laurie Burns (Internet2 staff) a couple
of months ago: "For the Spring Member Meeting, I have set aside an hour
slot in the main meeting program, on Tuesday, April 20 at 4:30pm, for
working groups to be available to talk with anyone interested in what
you're doing." I volunteered us, but I don't see this on the program
of events. Assuming it will happen, I encourage all to join the meeting.
