All,
I went back over the past three weeks and culled action items to try
and make sure things aren't being dropped off the back end. This is the
combined list of open items I came up with. It may not be completely
accurate, but it's a starting place.
After the usual administrivia at the top of the meeting let's run down
them. We have a bit over a month before we hit our agreed upon checkpoint.
I think we should begin to narrow in on what we really think we can
accomplish. Among other things this will help the PR machine crank out
accurate and timely information.
We can do new business after the AI's.
So, that's the agenda. Additions? Call info after the AI list.
- Jeremy
[AI] Joe will organize a conference call to talk about video room bugging with
Art and Mike sometime in the next week or so.
[AI] Joe will coordinate with staff in re putting Polycoms in rooms.
[AI] Joe will shop for USB headsets and handsets (Clarisys handsets in
particular), looking to narrow the choice down to a single model.
[AI] Joe will ask Jamey about leaving the PALS server where it is and
connecting
to it from Arlington.
[AI] The group will also take up this question with the Georgetown people.
[AI] On the next call, all -- especially Jamey -- will discuss how to train
people to help calibrate the skiffs.
[AI] Larry will find out the current status of location technologies in
Cisco's
WiFi business unit.
[AI] Ben T. will call his contact at Microsoft, stressing that PIC is looking
to
Microsoft to do the Windows development.
[AI] Steve will contact Wave3 and Xten, and get an update from Deke and prod
him
to talk to Apple. [See the thread starting with Steve's March 5 note to the
list.]
[AI] Jeremy will contact Claremont.
[AI] Ben T. will work on finding a contact at Nortel.
[AI] Joe Rork and Ben T. will try some Nortel interoperability testing,
running
the client against SARA and SBS.
[AI] Jeremy will get Joe and Ben the ID info for SBS.
[AI] Ben T. will resend his note to Angi, adding another person who might be
able to help, and get a response for Joe.
[AI] Jeremy will carry forward the plan re headsets.
[AI] Ben T. will look into replicating the PALS config we had in Hawaii, and
resend related info to Xiaotao.
Starting Time: 4:00 PM US/Eastern
Occurs: Every Thursday
Duration: 1 hour maximum
