Alan,
There aren't any Vernier authentication issues with the iPaq running
Pocket PC that we are aware of, and we have folks currently using
that
combination with success. The main thing is that a browser needs to
be opened to trigger the authentication process, so opening Pocket IE
(or whatever it's called :-) would be the first step after getting a
DHCP address.
If I recall correctly (it's been awhile), the Nomadix issue occurred
when we were using one of the RADIUS authentication configurations,
where the little Java-based popup box needed to be kept open to
maintain authentication. Since WinCE didn't run Java, we had to do a
workaround although we never used this configuration in production.
