In the project I worked in AT&T labs research, they have such features.
The scenario is, a people is using a cell phone calling, when he enters
the room, he put the cell phone on the docking station of the cell phone.
The line interface of the system will get the signal from the docking
station and will call the lined phone of the room. When the room phone
picked up, the system will hang up the cellphone call. The call continues
on the room phone. When the person press some combinations, such "**7",
the system will ask where the call will be transferred to, for example, it
can be transferred to a SIP phone.
