Presence and IntComm WG

I know we had briefly talked about this. At present we do not have presence.
But I can quickly link our client to jabber messenger client and I thought I
saw someone running a jabber/SIP gateway. Perhaps that way we can IM?

I thought you'd never ask!  ;-)  Three questions:

  1) Does CGUsip support presence and IM? 

  2) If so, is it SIMPLE?

  3) Would you be willing to hack CGUsip to poll our demo location
     server for location/calendar presence, which the client would
     then publish via NOTIFYs?
