Jamey:
MY name is Steve Blair. I'm working with SIP at UPenn and
I'm part of the PIC WG. I'm interested in the skiffs concept.
Is there a page that describes in detail how this technology
works? If so can you point me to that information?
Thanks,
Steve Blair

I won't be able to make the call tomorrow due to a rehearsal dinner for
a friend's wedding, so I thought I'd update on the signal strength
scanning and skiff work.
1) we have 5 or so ipaqs scanning signal strength and we're working on
characterization of the response so that hopefully we do not have to do
a lot of on-site training/calibration to make signal strenght
measurements to position.
2) We have linux 2.4.18-rmk7 running on the skiffs now and have pcmcia
cards working, so the skiffs are ready to be put in service for
scanning.
3) as mentioned in previous message, first draft location http server is
running on ser.uits.indiana.edu.
