Sorry about the poorly written subject, but I really would be very
grateful if any of you have any information about multicast-readiness to
university residential housing. Our search has thus far only turned up a
handful of institutions that have multicast enabled all the way to the
dorms, and we need more information before we are able to make plans to
offer our free video download service to students.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

Subject: information multicast in on-campus housing for students

Hi everyone,

Intercast Networks is looking for more information on which campuses are
"multicast" ready, specifically with an eye towards campuses that have
multicast turned on in student on-campus housing. We're testing a
multicast video download service for students (students will subscribe
to channels and a client will download content from those channels
automatically based on schedule), and are looking for more information
as well as admin and student volunteers ahead of our fall trial. The
service, Kazam, is free (ad-supported), restricted to persons with a
valid *.edu e-mail address.

If you have any information, I'd love to share with you what we learned
in our spring trial and why we think students will really enjoy the
service.

Thanks, and I greatly appreciate any information you can send me!
