Hello All,
Our video over ip equipment relies upon SNMP snooping and a querier to
manage the multicast groups on switched networks in two places.
The first is during our variable bit rate encoding, wherein we build a
statistical multiplex group with multiple encoders.
The second is when we deliver transports to the customers.
However, this is all within a private network designed for commercial
delivery.

Hello;
I saw an interesting article in Exchange Magazine
http://www.xchangemag.com/webexclusives/5ch16163417.html
about Ruckus Smart WiFi systems,
http://www.ruckuswireless.com/products/
and how they perform traffic engineering and QOS on multicast
traffic. Upon making further
inquiries, I was told that they do IGMP snooping, which AFAIK is
a first on wireless LAN's.
Does anyone else have any experience with these products ? Anyone
look to see how they actually
perform with multicast ?
Marshall
