Just as an FYI, even on Cisco, MLD snooping support on 6500s is limited to MLDv2. *BSD and MacOS distributions, for example, support only MLDv1 out of the box though KAME snapshots offer MLDv2 support with a bit of compiling and kernel rebuilding. Until the OS vendors/developers uniformly make v2 part of their distributions, we'll be in the messy situation of where some OSes will work with some vendors' IPv6 multicast, while other OSes may work with other vendors' products.

anyone aware of any switches available today that support MLD
snooping (besides cisco)?
also interesting would be info on where mld support is on a given
supplier's roadmap.
