So it's receiving, but not sending? You shouldn't need static joins to
receive, so I would look at that first. Without the static IGMP
configured, does the router see the IGMP reports ('show igmp group')?
Also, can you send a 'show pim join extensive'. BTW, the JUNOS equivalent
command of IOS' 'show ip mroute' is 'show pim join extensive'. 'Show
multicast route' in JUNOS is not very useful.

As far as the sending part, is this M40 first hop router also acting as
the RP? If so, does it create an MSDP SA, and do it's peers receive it?
If not, is there register state on the RP?


-) My first hunch is that MSDP is not announcing the (S,G) from the Juniper to
-) the Cisco. Does this sound plausible, and, if so, how do I fix it? And is
-) there some magic configuration piece I'm missing? I don't like the idea of
-) having to do static configuration.
