Dear WG Members,
I'm with the Department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and has just joined the WG. Our group at CUHK has actively engaged in the research and development of various multicast-enabled applications and technologies. In particular, we have initiated a project called the Hong Kong IP Multicast Initiative to promote and disseminate multicast technologies and applications to the local industry. More information about this initiative can be found at http://www.hkipmulticast.org
Apart from this initiative, we also have a number of on-going research projects such as large-scale video-on-demand applications, which make extensive use of IP multicast. As Hong Kong will be linking up with the Internet2 later this year, these projects may contribute to demonstrating Internet2's multicast capability. More information about our on-going research projects can be found at http://www.mcl.ie.cuhk.edu.hk
We'll be pleased to further explore collaborations with other WG members and multicast researchers and hopefully contribute to the widespread adoption and deployment of multicast in the current and future Internet.
Best Regards,
Jack Y.B. Lee
