At the WG meeting yesterday, there was a discussion of appliances that
would take NTSC + audio in, encode to MPEG2 and ship an MPEG2 multicast
stream, all in a simple appliance format.
I've found vBrick, and I know about Cisco's PixStream product, but there
were others that folks mentioned that I didn't write down. Anyone else
know of vendors of this type of product.
(The project we have in mind is to distribute entertainment quality
television to students in our dorm rooms, where there is no CATV plant.)
Thanks!
Tim
