Dear Joe;

Right now the code just returns one bit of output - it prints out your
multicast status.
Right now its hardwired.

It's written as plain vanilla Java and we plan to make it open source.

The problem is that it works on our Linux boxes as a stand alone program,
but not as a Netscape Navigator 4.76 applet. As an applet, it joins the
group, but
no data is received - the receive function call just hangs. We haven't tested
it on other
platforms / browers yet - maybe later today.

(This is not a security authorization / signing issue, but you have to worry
about this
if you want to test the code as a developer.)

Is there any collective knowledge about Java applet multicast software ?
Anyone else have such problems ?
